Southern Style

Here is a yummy meal that hubby enjoys! Chicken Fried Steak and mashed potatoes covered in country gravy! First I pound the cube steaks to tenderize them. Next, I dip the steaks in egg, and dredge in flour. Fried in light vegetable oil until browned. This is good! (not necessarily healthy)

This is one of our favorite meals here! I usually cut up the steaks, though, and make steak fingers. Yum!!

Yeah, hubby tells me often he is lucky. I feel pretty lucky too when he offers to clean up the kitchen :)

Boy, does that bring back memories. My mother used to make Country-fried steak once a week when I was growing up. YUM! It seems like she served it with rice and gravy and thick tomato slices. I'll have to bring it back...surely my husband and son will love it.
