I have mentioned this dish a couple of times, and now I am finally posting it!
Chicken Spareribs (strange name) has become hubby's favorite, as well as, Jaxson's. My daughter likes anything chicken, so it's a shoo in for her too! Hubby gets so excited, he helps with making the potato salad*. I was a little camera happy today :) Enjoy the pictures and the recipe will follow. Hope you have had a wonderful Saturday!
Hubby's chopped potatoes are ready to be boiled...
While I start the chicken. Hubby and I enjoy the chance to cook together on the weekend ;)
The sauce...ooooohhhh yummmmm
This is a bowl his aunt made for us as a wedding gift. We always use it for this particular dish. It makes hubby smile...
making potato salad...*this is where I take over. The kids like "Daddy's mashed potaotes better"....
adding cornstarch and water to the sauce...needs thickening!
I give you Chicken Spareribs aka Hubby's favorite meal!
The family sure seems engrossed...but wait! Hubby is already done!!

SaraLynn,
Thanks so much for posting this recipe. It looks every bit as delicious as you described. Hubby sure looks content! What beautiful kids you have too!
Tell your hubby his mashed potatoes are looking mighty fine ;)
Wow! That looks great! I think it would be a fav for my hubby too!
Thanks so much :)
This sounds delicious - what a fabulous combination of flavours. Jaxson looks so cute enjoying his food by digging in with his hands - great shot.
Looks tasty. I love pictures! Camera happy is a good happy to be.
YOu are so cute and I love how special this meal is. I also love seeing pictures of your family. Did the bad weather go away?
Sara, what a nice post with all your step by step pictures. Thats so nice that you and your Hubby cook together too! Your chicken dish sounds delicious I can see why your family loves it. Your kids are adorable!! (and Hubby too!)
Saralynn (I love typing that! :) ), That looks great! I printed it out to try this week! Okay, here's a question for you. What is your favorite dish to do for a group of people, around 15. Once a month I have a new comers dinner at my house. It is on a sunday night, so it has to be relatively easy to put together seeing as Sunday is a busy day for us! I usually rotate some of my favs, seeing as they are all "new comers" no one gets the recipe twice. But I am always looking for new ideas!!! Sara (Lynn) sarawbowyer@msn.com
Isn't it nice when something you make is so appreciated. I love when meals are well received by my family. Also my son looked at your blog and was amazed (I am also amazed) at how many people and the different locations read your blog. You are popular! Well, you deserve it. Keep up the great work.
It is such a cherished time when your family is able to spend time on the weekends cooking together. I would love this dish with the mashed potatoes any day of the week:D
